Representing Jiangsu Etern Co., Ltd., Mo Lindi, Chairman of the company, signed a university-enterprise cooperation agreement with the College of Communications Engineering (CCE) on September 16. According to the agreement, the parties would conduct cooperation in areas such as scientific research, project application, talent fostering, disciplinary development and graduate employment.
Jiangsu Etern Co., Lt. is a large comprehensive high and new technology enterprise covering industrial business, investment, and domestic and international trade. It is the first listed private-owned optical cable company, with a business scope including R&D and manufacturing for optical communication, communication wires and cables, special wires and cables for energy conservation and environmental protection and aerospace uses; EPC for overseas electrical power engineering project; R&D and manufacturing for new superconductive materials; automobile sales and parts R&D and manufacturing; etc. Under the agreement, CCE and Jiangsu Etern Co., Ltd. wound cooperate in areas such as scientific research, project application, talent fostering, disciplinary development and graduate employment.
On November 7, Zhao Xiaohui, Dean of CCE, Zhang Lizhong, Vice Dean, and Hu Zhe,Director of Administrative Office paid a visit to the headquarters of Jiangsu Etern to sign a scholarship agreement. On the basis of the university-enterprise agreement, the scholarship agreement aims to promote deeper cooperation between the university and the company; and encourage students of the university to value both learning and practice, form good learning habits, study hard, engage in research, apply theories to practice, and continuously improve their practical skills, ability to innovate, and overall quality. After friendly communication and negotiation, the “Etern · Learning and Practice in One” Scholarship was established at CCE. The scholarship is used to reward undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral students who seek the truth, dare to innovate, have both integrity and ability, excel at both moral and academic performance, and who are well-rounded and dedicated to contributing to social prosperity and people’s happiness.
