授课教师简介：
Dr. Ling Cen received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2006. From 2005 till 2008, she worked inNanyangTechnologicalUniversity, as a research associate, and then became a Research Fellow. After that she joined Agency for Science, Technology and Research inSingaporeas a scientist from 2008. She is currently working as a senior researcher in British Telecom. She is also a Guest Associate Professor inJilinUniversity. Her research interests are in the areas of optimization, pattern recognition, machine learning, and their applications in science and engineering. She has published around 40 articles in refereed international journals and conferences, including top conferences and journals, such as ISCAS, ICASSP, ICPR, IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, etc. She has also published 3 book chapters, and filed 3 patent applications. She is served as a reviewer, committee member, and session chair for several international journals and conferences.
主要授课内容：
在信号处理及通信工程领域，凸优化方法被认为是一种非常实用的工具，可以用来解决多种形式的科学及工程问题。本课程将从理论、应用和算法三个方面系统地介绍凸优化内容：
第一、介绍凸优化问题的基本概念和基本理论，注重用几何图形帮助同学深入理解有关知识；
第二、结合有广泛应用价值的问题，如函数拟合与插值问题、动态系统稳定性问题、分类问题等，介绍用凸优化理论和方法解决问题的基本知识和方法；
第三、介绍求解凸优化问题的基本算法和相关工具，注重有关算法的构造原理、实现技术以及算法有效性分析方法。
